Require info regarding tamil school
Tue Sep 10, 2013 8:52 pm by Positivevibe
I just moved from Chennai, I am looking for admission for my 6 year old kid.
After my extensive search, understand that I can place my kid only in international school, as both of us are holding only professional visa.
Can someone suggest me, if there is any private or tamil school which will admit foreign national?

Private Tuition

Do you send your kids to private tuition after school or do you teach them yourselves? What are the pros and cons of sending kids to private tuition after school? Is it an unnecessary burden for the kids or is it seen as much needed assistance for the kids in terms of education?

A follow up to the discussion we started way back in the little india days. I found this one article dated Jan 2008 about the now famous International Irish University which i was following closely. It was quite an elaborate operation with graduation ceremonies etc.
Now the website is empty.

Can someone from the education line give me some pointers about private schooling? I have been thinking about this recently as my daughter has come of enrollment age to the primary school. My current considerations are:
1. Sekolah Sri Murni
2. Sekolah Sri Chempaka
3. Convent Bukit Nenas (my personal preference)

....SAD TOO.....
But isn't he a criminal?.....how many times we wished the idiots who stole our car or belongings to rot in hell....maybe this time the GOD heard someone's wish.
We have to think why a boy as young as him got involved in this kind of activity. There are many out there.Very worrying.

What is more worrying is that even criminals can die in that hands of so call protectors of people...the police...
When law of the land is replaced with law of the jungle, it is indeed a very sad day.

Re: youth who died in police custody
My car was also stolen last month...... i still cry at times thinking of this incident..... basically bcoz of the procedures that i have to go thru to settle this issue...... all concerned ppl not even bothered that i am pregnant... they make me run around with all the documents, signing and submissions....
The relevant personnel's still hasn't settled this issue for me....... It took 1 month for the Insu Coy to register the case in their system as they are short of manpower and abt 1 week plus for their adjuster to see me.... and he said ...his work is mostly field work and he will try to submit his report BY end of the month..... Still paying the instalment for sumthing which i dun have.
Today i got the "file closed letter" from the Police and went to the Insu Coy to submit the same letter... i have to wait for the branch to send this letter with a report to their HQ... and since the HQ is short of manpower... i dun know how long it going to take for them to forward the claim form....... and the claims department will take another 3 -6 mths.
hmmmmmmmmmm!

Re: youth who died in police custody
Lets not jump to conclusion whether this guys was a criminal or anything...he was suspected criminal...and that is a braod word than could have been used in soo many case...
Do you know how common it is for police to arrest indian kids simply because they were hanging out alone or with a friend at night? Whether or not you didn't do anything or planned to do anything...they will force you to go to the balai...
you probably have to sleep there...then they release you the next day when they cant find anything to charge you with...
Malaysian police is anything but efficient or democratic...This is an autocratic state...

Re: youth who died in police custody
the boy is a suspect and i dont consider him a hero. but i do not agree with the way the police treats suspects as tough they are some streetdog with no feelings or pain. i mean, he's not a terrorist rite..
this view applies regardless of of race n religion.
at the same time, how come initialy it was said no foul play and after the family took pics, its a murder suspected? dont the officials look like idiots. no wonder they spoil their image. why cant they be honest in the fisrt place?
does that mean every family has to find a way to expose if the son is tortured by police? i've seen worse cases. and i worry what those guys (police) are gonna get in return from god....

yeah, frag, i'm well aware of the above scenario. In Kugan's case, he did help the police to find some luxury cars. He is indeed one of the member. Furthermore, his family did not deny his involvement in the mentioned activity.
Those involved in highlighting this case should have stopped once they made their point at the mortuary. I disagree with the "drama" created during his funeral. It should have done in a very peaceful way.
That might have
